How does one keep up with information on the web?

There is an overload of information on the web today. It is very difficult to even think about reading everything that it is available. There are several ways to bring information to one place for you to read on a regular basis.
First you need to determine the topic or topics that are of interest to you.
Next you need to start searching for people who blog or tweet about your topics. You don't need to locate everyone at one time. This is an ongoing process. I follow several blogs and from those blogs, I have found and deleted other blogs that I want to read.

My favorite way to follow blogs is to subscribe to their RSS feeds.
When I find a blog that I like, I look for anything that says, RSS feeder, or subscribe to this blog. I like Google Reader , so I click on this option.

When I want to read my blogs, I go to my Google account and click on Google Reader. On the left side, there is a list of all the blogs that I follow. There is a number next to each title, showing me how many new posts have been uploaded since the last time I read the blog. When I click on a title, it will usually show a short summary about the post. I can then click to read the whole post or read another post.

In my next post, I will discuss some apps, you can use to read your Google Reader posts .
